OUTREACH WITH OTHER SCHOOLS, PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS
Goal: Further develop opportunities to harness community expertise in the field of STEAM.
Leverage the experiences of other STEAM Institutions, to allow us to further develop and maintain an outstanding and innovative STEAM program.
Priority Actions:
Continue partnerships with schools and individuals that have been formed 2022-23. Form new connections with organizations that extend our thinking and offer authentic learning opportunities for the community, both student and teaching faculty
The continued growth of the contact directory: ie. First LEGO league robot competition. An increase in partnerships with organisations in the local and global community, for both students and faculty.
Form a STEAM Special Interest Group in the European region
Host a STEAM Symposium (Spring of 2023) to ignite the practice of STEAM education in schools
Identify areas of interest/need across the priority actions for professional learning opportunities and audience/participants (cohort)
An increase in number of teachers and faculty attending STEAM-related professional learning
Contact other Innovative STEAM institutions to look at common traits they have in their STEAM Programs.
Collate data produced from contacts to produce a set of key features of highly successful STEAM Programs.
Develop and maintain relationships with interested institutions.
Measuring Success:
Establish professional, working relationships with 'like' schools and professional entities that will provide authentic teaching and learning opportunities for both students and teachers in the field of STEM, Ai, Technology, and Sciences.
